This is the BEST of 2007 Hulthemia.Follow the photos from top to bottom to see how it matures.

I am expecting great things from this hulthemia hybrid seedling.It is the best all around hulthemia
that I have grown so far.This is the very first bloom on this seedling (photo was taken on 4/21/07).
In my experience, the hulthemia blotch improves considerably with maturity and in cooler weather.
I will expect that the blotch will lighten as the summer warms up, and then darken in the fall.The
hulthemia blotch also seems to get darker in the second season and onwards.Time will tell....

Below, I will add updates with future photos to show how the seedling matures.

In the photo below there are two blooms shown during the second bloom cycle.Notice how the
outer parts of the petals are lighter as compared to the first bloom seen above.Colors tend to be
lighter as the weather warms up.Photo was taken on May 12, 2007.

The photo below is of the plant finishing out its second bloom cycle and was taken on 5/28/07.

On June 29, 2007, two buds of the above seedling were grafted outside onto rootstock.

The photo below was taken 6/30/07.I am pleased that the blotch has not faded more.


This next photo below was taken 9/1/07.We have had about one week with temps. at around 100, with
the last two days being about 105.This seedling by far, has the most heat stable blotch that I have seen.

The next two photos were taken on 10/20/07.Already, you can see how the blotch has intensified during the cooler
weather.The first photo below was taken inside the greenhouse, while the second photo below was taken outside.
The blooms are starting to get back the white halo visible around the blotch that was seen in the young seedling (photo at top).
Bloom color seems to be very much the same outside as inside (that is not always the case).

Finally, here is a spray of the outside grafted plant taken on 10/21/07



Here below is a small spray from a cutting that is blooming outside.Photo was taken on 5/31/08.
